1. Remember to take time to reflect on what career path seems like the best fit for you. It’s not talked about enough but there’s more to tech than being a Software Engineer at a FAANG company. Explore other roles - UX, Data Science, Program/Product Management, IT audit etc. Look into company culture and values to see what fits with you!
2. Don’t be afraid to speak up and to network. People are very willing to chat over coffee/quick calls and share their thoughts; some of the best advice I’ve come by has been through cold messaging alums on LinkedIn!
3. If you’re recruiting and it feels like everyone else has internship offers and jobs, please remember you’re not alone! You never know what may come through and at the last moment. There’s tons of factors that affect job search/ layoffs etc that have nothing to do with you and your skills!
