Struggling to grasp technical concepts is a sign that you’re engaging with the problem, which is oftentimes the hardest and most important part of software engineering. Most of the problems I encounter at work don’t have one clear solution, so it is critical to understand the many dimensions of a problem when ideating and proposing a solution. And this is something you can only do if you’re willing to get uncomfortable.
