A message from Jazlyn

"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now." I'm not sure what the exact origin of this quote is; some attribute it to a Chinese Proverb (which I haven't been able to confirm). We may often think about what we could have done had we started earlier. The fact that you're pursuing tech at Wellesley right now means that you are already getting a head start for your future, whether you end up in tech or decide it's not actually what you want to do. Cherish this time you have at Wellesley and invest in yourself. You may feel completely lost at times, and that's okay! If you have a question about something, ask it. You're likely not the only person in the room thinking about it. Take advantage of help rooms, office hours, and working together with your classmates. If you feel like you're struggling, reach out for help. If you notice someone else is struggling reach out!
