Everything takes times. Be patient with yourself and absorb everything you can. Engineering seemed like this black box, and I always told myself I wasn't ready because I was missing experience. At the end of the day, everyone has to start somewhere. Don't take yourself out of the running because you don't feel prepared. Take the leap, it may you lead down an unexpected path, and you will learn what you need along the way.
