A message from Naomi

Your work is not your life. It's important to find a place that works for you -- that might mean someplace that pays a lot, or somewhere you have friends at work, or a team that never has you working overtime. But it's equally important to be passionate about and find joy and peace outside of your workplace. To that end, remember that you are more than your work. No matter who you work for or how much money you make, that does not define you. On the days when you feel like the only [woman/nonbinary person/queer person/person of color] at your job, remember you are more than your work. When you feel unseen or unmotivated or unintelligent, remember you are more than your work. When you feel like you're doing everything exactly right -- remember you are more than your work! You are brilliant, you are worthy, and you can thrive wherever you choose to plant your energies.
